Networking

I am several groups around Katy for Networking. Social Media is becoming so popular that of course my job is spent on computer all day long on facebook, twitter, linkedin, pinterest, wordpress, blogspot etc. It keeps me completely busy all day long.
Are you on those sites? Do you spend more time than you should. Should we spend more time than we do? All these questions are up in the air. I am wanting to start a discussion to see what you think about social media and where do you think it will go. Where will we be even next year?

Pay It Forward

On the pay it forward challenge, I had several opportunities during the rodeo to pay it forward which I did. I feel much better as a person as well as it shows my girls how to share and be a good citizen and caring person. They are always wanted to pay it forward.

Avery & bailey also ask me every time there is someone in a store with a name bag or a restaurant that have name badges they always say "mom see their name" I then address the individual by their name.

Make a person feel good when you use their name, just a small gesture that goes a long way!

Fitness Training

Great to see the sun out. And it also nice as far as the temp is concerned!

I woke up this morning glad that I have decided to take this training camp. I know that I was completely out of shape and it was so easy NOT to work out. I am now in week two and ole lordy the aches and pains. But twice a week, it is getting easier! I am looking to trim the body not so much loose the weigh but inches.
I just got finished with a 10 day body cleanse of all food that is bad for you so no bread, sugar, alcohol etc. so today of course I ate pasta as well as a piece of bread. Was not really as good as I remembered ha.

I will keep you updated as the results come in but so far have 5 pounds!

National Popcorn Lover's Day

Today is National Popcorn Lover's Day

Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks of all times. I love popcorn anytime! The best is when you go to a carnival festival etc and get the homemade Kettle Corn. That is the best! I have below a recipe for yummy Carmel popcorn. very easy recipe. Try it and let me know how it turned out!

Caramel Popcorn1 cup margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 quarts popped popcorn

Melt margarine in 2 quart saucepan. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly then boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in soda and vanilla. Pour over popped corn in 15 x 9 x 1 inch backing pan. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour. Stirring every 15 minutes to coat popcorn evenly.

Hope you try the recipe, it smells so good when it is baking, it will be hard not to eat it all as soon as it comes out of the oven . . which we have done, many times!
